At Animaland, we believe that preventative health care is critical to the ongoing health and happiness of your pet. Regular wellness visits can help to identify and treat possible medical concerns before they become a problem. Annual wellness check-ups allow us to monitor your pet’s physical health and let us get to know you and your pet on a more personal level. These visits also provide the opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have about your pet.
Our comprehensive wellness treatment includes:

Pets, just like people, sometimes have special dietary needs. Additionally, some pets become overweight and suffer from a variety of unpleasant side effects as a result. Our trained staff will work with you to design a customized diet that will keep your pet at an optimum weight and meet any unique dietary needs they may have. We stock most of the popular veterinary diets.
One of the most important parts of your pet’s overall well-being is good dental health. Did you know that 80% of dogs and cats over the age of six have dental disease? Dental disease is not “normal” in pets. Dental tartar and bad breath are a source of infection in animals. Animals with dental disease suffer consideral pain. In order to perform a proper dental procedure, animals need to be under anesthesia so we can clean beneath the gum line and both the inside and outside of each tooth. Simply removing the tartar from the outside of the teeth does nothing to address the infection or pain that is present with dental disease.
During the course of your pet’s life, situations may arise that warrant surgical intervention, either as a preventative measure such as to spay or neuter, or to treat an illness or medical condition. Additionally our post-surgery pain management helps keep them comfortable as they recover.
Our wide range of surgical procedures includes:
- Orthopaedic Surgery
- Wound Repair
- Soft Tissue Surgery
Diagnostic Facilities available at Animaland include:
- Digital X-Ray
- In house Lab – blood works and microscope
- Out of house Lab (IDEXX)
As a responsible pet owner, you want to do everything within your power to make sure your pets stays healthy and safe in your home.
Now what happens if your pet runs away or goes missing?
Animaland provides microchipping services, which involves implanting a tiny identification device under your pet’s skin. Microchips are about as small as a grain of rice and contain an electronic code which is registered to a database. Most animal hospitals and shelters are equipped with scanners that can be used to identify lost animals and get them safely returned to their owners.
Our Grooming Parlour has also been in existence since 1998.
We pride ourselves in using quality veterinary prescribed products and are one of a few who are able to bath &/ shave cats. having a vet on site makes it possible to calm unruly or nervous pets safely as well as providing for individual emergencies immediately.
Older pets especially are in need to live a pain free existence, be it as a result of arthritis or other causes. We are able to tailor make a pain-control package according to the patients needs and the owners’ budget.
All products and toys we stock are from reputable companies.
We don’t try to compete with the retail shops in this respect, as everything is available through the veterinary channel only.
If we don’t have what you require, we will endevour to find it for you.
